A friend of mine is looking for some answers to questions regarding next Saturday's game against PSL. He has heard that is:
1) All ticket 2) It is the first 200 on a first come first served basis & 3) The KO is 3.00pm (Stamford & PSL both think it is 3.00pm whereas the NPL have it at 1.00pm)
Can anyone confirm the answers to the above?
Thanks. COYR

I'd have thought that victory over the all-conquering PSL was worthy of at least one comment on here for the benefit of those who couldn't attend. They play at a higher level to us, although the Southern League is arguably weaker than ours and last season we were robbed of promotion to Step 3, and have a very good team, so surely such a deserved win is worthy of recognition. Without the input of H this forum is now pretty poor.

You're right SFOG it's very quiet on here. I suspect a bit of the "it's only a friendly so what does it matter" creeping in. Personally I think it shows where the team is at in preparation for the hard graft to come. As far as the match was concerned the first 20 mins or so showed why PSL are higher than us. They passed the ball more accurately, they closed us down well, they broke up field quickly and in numbers and their big men at the back had everything under control. We didn't. As the game progressed we got more into it and come the second half we were clearly the better team. I know they took off some of their better players but even so we grafted away as we do and were rewarded in the end. I have never doubted our fitness and we do seem to keep going right through to the 90+... minute. Not pretty at times but bucket loads of effort. More of the same on Saturday please. COYR

To be fair, the forum is always quite quiet when we're out of season. I'm sure it will get going again soon, although many fans now seem to make more comment on twitter, rather than here.
Anyway, should be a good season. We've kept a stable squad together, which always helps, and especially when it's one that was in such good form last season.
Looking forward to it.
