Not sure I can make it. Got pals up for the weekend. Will try and steer them to the Zeeco but may struggle.

Come on Dean, you can do it mate. Could certainly draw in a lot of extra support for what should be a very good game. Lots of other leagues shut down and I think our league review the situation on Monday. So maybe our last game for sometime. God knows what happens then!!

I'm no medical expert, but i can't see why they'd cancel non league football. Crowds less than 500 generally, and non enclosed stands. They would need to finish the season somehow. You can't just wipe out something that is 3/4 already played. Obviously if they just promoted the top 2, i'd accept it though. :-)

It could well be the last game, what happens if the players pick up the virus, I would expect the FA to close the league’s on a points per game ratio, would be the fairest way across all leagues at any level

Fantastic second half performance today in front of a bumper crowd to keep up the pressure on Leek. Our 3rd goal in particular was a belter; great team goal involving Tendai, Morgan, and finished by Vince. We really are playing some great football at the moment, and hopefully anyone who sampled the Daniels for the first time will have been impressed. Performance and atmosphere on the terrace were all decent. Let’s see what happens on Monday with the league meeting. I imagine football will he called off for a while. Let’s hope we can finish the season in the summer. It’s been a joy to watch so far

Great attendance today with visitors from all over the area. Also in attendance was Gillingham manager and ex Stamford manager Steve Evans who takes every chance he gets to come and support his old team - great to chat with you Steve. As Dean states, great second half performance from the boys and our superior fitness once again came to the fore. Again a great atmosphere as Dean says, but I'd say that was the Terraces best performance of the season so far - well done all of you. And thank you to those who we had to confiscate beer glasses and bottles from. The clubs stewards have absolutely no intention of spoiling your great afternoon out at the Zeeco Stadium - but we have to abide by FA rules and no alcohol is allowed inside the stadium without the correct licences, which we currently do not have. Please remember this in the future chaps. With an atmosphere like that today, what will it be like on that final day against Leek, especially if its the league title decider!!! But will it come to that? we will know more on Monday. This could put the very existence of some non-league clubs to the test - especially those with lots of contract players. If the league shuts down - what do you think will be the end outcome? This is an unprecedented time in football history. Play Up The Daniels

In terms of the 'end outcome' poser you mention Dave, i'd say it's pretty clear in our league. Top 2 get promoted. It may be more difficult in other leagues where the points totals are closer, but for our division of course it should be us and Leek going up. Let's hope it doesn't come to that though.

All step 4 off except the NPL so was certainly important to keep up the chase on Leek who unfortunately won 2-0 at Lincoln. But an emphatic 5-1 win keeps us within 2 points. Can’t comment on the performance as I couldn’t make it but it’s another 3 points on the board. A great attendance yesterday despite the current climate and good to hear new and regular fans getting down to the Zeeco supporting their local non league side and enjoying themselves, some of them a bit too much maybe judging from Daves post, but guess we’d rather that than a much lower attendance. Leek are supposed to see out their game in hand on Tuesday night but who knows what will happen now. May seem logical to promote the top 2 and cancel the rest of the season but those other teams in the playoffs will feel aggrieved if that happens. 5th place has just as much right to go up as 2nd - just look at the playoff campaign 2 years ago. We will have to see what happens but don’t think there’s a solution in this situation that keeps everyone happy. However it will be the ultimate sucker punch if we were forced to have another year at step 4 without even the chance to finish playing for our season. Only time will tell.
