Great result. A squad who never give up. A win in the 93rd minute . That shows quality and away at a very tough place. Yes leek won but sounds like it was close.Feel the pressure is on them. Just keep it going boys.

That's the 4th time I've been to boggy ground Kidsgrove and its not rained and the pitch wasn't a bog. The sun was out and the top goal penalty area resembled a beach, there was that much sand on it. One could have excused Danny if he had erected a Deck Chair, because apart from one long range shot which he palmed away easily in the first half, the second half in that sand was just another day at the office watching the boys in front of him. Right from the word go, the boys took the game to Kidsgrove and created many chances that went begging and kept the game nervy - you know, you don't take your chances and eventually get punished. Well our defence of course see it another way and they defended superbly, keeping Danny well protected. Despite us having the best of the play (without being pretty), my man of the match was Captain Fantastic, yours truly Mr Wright. Never missed a header and covered his fellow defenders when they needed a hand out. This was a very tough match and not for the faint hearted has players were going down at a frequent rate under hard but mostly fair challenges. Micky got clobbered and struggled through the game after clobbering one of their players himself and getting booked. Siddons was on and off the pitch having a bleeding head wound patched up like a boxer and eventually got booked for a heavy tackle on their left back who was already in a daze from an earlier challenge. Everyone was baiting the ref to send Siddons off, but the ref and lino got it right with a yellow card. Two of their players had to come off in the first half after picking up injuries and Cossy had to come off in the second half holding his groin after numerous hard challenges. I said on this forum months ago - this squad take no shit from anyone and we can give it out if we have to - its that time of the season - grind results out, and boy, our lads are putting their bodies on the line for each other. This was yet another solid performance in a different way, it was not pretty football for the most part, but very workmanlike and we stuck at it until the end. And what a goal to steal the points. Vinnie picked the ball up just inside their half and drove forward down the middle of the pitch. We had players marauding forward either side of him and I think we all thought, including their defence, that he was going to slip the ball left or right. But no, clearly 25/30 yards out he smashed his shot just inches off the ground into the bottom left corner, just out of reach of the diving keeper - absolute top draw finish that had the bench screaming on to the pitch and the travelling daniels fans behind the goal going ballistic. With Dec and Hicks still missing, we have quality all around this squad to plug the gaps when its needed. These boys deserve everything at the moment and showed their appreciation to our fans at the end. Sadly I am on Hayling Island on Tuesday, but on the phone all night I will be. I implore all of you to get to Borderville if you can, and cheer the lads to another win, which will definitely keep Leek on the nervy side - that's for sure. Up The Dannies

Was down South last night so couldn't make the game, but delighted to see we'd nicked all 3pts with a last minute winner. When Leek took the lead and we were still 0-0, i feared the worst. Thankfully this team never give up, and grabbed another late winner. That's the mark of Champions. Liverpool in the 80s and United in the 90s always scored late goals, and people called them 'lucky'. There's nothing lucky about it. Annoying though how Leek keep doing the same. All we can do is keep winning, and hopefully Leek will slip up just once more before their date at the Zeeco in late April.....

I think I've corrected my spelling!! It was late last night and still excited. KFC went down well I can tell you.
Tuesday night will be very tough Sutton another form side and pushing for the play-offs. Why are we always hitting the form sides? I think it just shows how many good clubs are in this league. The good thing is, Graham always seems to have a plan and I know he has watched Sutton and many of the teams in this league. He is one of those managers that gets about quite a lot in mid-week. It does seem that we play better against the good sides, just as well I suppose, but to hit some good form in the next 3 games should at least see us take a play-off position - and who would want to play us, be it home or away? The Leek game on the last day could be immense to say the least. But to secure second spot and at home in the play-off first game would also be massive. Win that and a play-off final at the Zeeco Stadium on the Saturday would be one of the biggest games in the clubs history - and who could predict the attendance at such a game! What an exciting next few weeks we have in store. Play Up The Daniels

Thought we were going to get away with only getting a point when Leek were drawing 2-2 with Carlton however when I saw they had grabbed a winner it seemed they would be extending the gap between us. But this team can deliver from minute 1 right up until minute 96 and deliver they did with quite a superb goal from Vince judging by the Stamford Goals footage. The drive in this team is something I've rarely seen in my short time supporting the Dannies and I would say this squad eclipses the one from 2 seasons ago. Another big game against playoff chasing Sutton on Tuesday night. Leek don't play so we have the opportunity to close the gap to 2 points and really pile the pressure on.

Graham came into a board meeting before the season kicked off and said this squad excited him - and he has been a very successful manager to make such statements. And they've proved him right. Most managers have their 'little black books' Graham's got a bloody filing cabinet!!

Seems I have missed todays match. According to the Stamford site the kick off was at 3:00 PM. Dam silly time for a mid week match if you ask me!
