Games thick and fast.next game on the arizon. Away to Ilkeston will be alot tougher than Wisbech but on our day we can beat anyone. We talk about the spirit but the focus Graham expects is all their to see as well.Every player has their role to do and understand it.which we can all see. Credit to Graham and his coaching staff whom are progressing them well. To see players turning big money moves away is credit to players.loyality in non league football is not there much....Supporters really do appreciate that loyality and bit by bit the crowd s and support will get bigger. Think Kieran wells will be out to score against us on Saturday. But he will be up against a well organized defence. We should win on Saturday but it will be tight. Could be interesting day elsewhere Frickley v Belper.(Think frecks got frickley playing well now). Kidsgrove v leek(leek might be on good form but this won,t be gimmy)
So prediction time we win 2-1 .(scoring winner in added time at end.another quality of squad boys keep playing till the end) Up the dannies

A winner in extra time against Ilkeston who will be out for a result after the reverse game at the Zeeco back in August will produce quite some scenes I should think especially if we have the numbers in attendance like we had at Loughborough. We can only hope Daniels. Ilkeston have dropped off in recent weeks and now sit 2 points outside the playoffs having played the most games in the division. However you are absolutely right that Kieran Wells will be wanting a goal. Surprised his brother hasn’t joined him yet as they seem to follow each other round to every team they go to. Brad at Frickley at the moment if I remember rightly who have put some great form together recently and now sit in the playoffs, Frecklington showing his quality there and should be a good game against them at their place later in the month. Hope they can get a result against Belper and Leek drop points to Kidsgrove who are the 4th most inform team in the division. Let’s get down in numbers to Ilkeston like we did at Loughborough and create the noise in the terrace like we see week in week out at home. 14 games unbeaten in the league and the first NPL team to hit 50 goals, let’s keep it up Saturday. Come on you reds.

What a fantastic performance from the lads today. Outstanding. Even though we went behind (against the run of play), and then conceded a dodgy penalty just before half time, the team didn't panic and came back to win convincingly. Great support, and great scenes at the end with Drury and his management team singing along and knee sliding along with the fans.
As mentioned, they went ahead (can't remember how). We equalised after good work from Tendai who curled a ball across the goalmouth for their Number 8 to slide it in for an OG. We then went 2-1 up when Rob Morgan nicked a header on the goaline when it was going in (i think from Cozzy). To be honest, he was lucky he wasn't flagged offside. At that point, we were all over them. Fast, attacking, dynamic forward play had me thinking we could crush them that half. However, they survived against the run of play and then, as often happens, they got a dodgy penalty in about the 6th minute of injury time. So it was 2-2 at half time, and you'd think the team would go in with heads down.
However, they came out in the 2nd half though in the same manner and good work in the first few minutes of the half from Cosmos saw the ball go in again from their Number 8 as an OG, although it looks like Hicks has been given the goal? After that, we dominated once again and thankfully got a 2 goal cushion when Cosmos was bundled in the box (soft penalty to be fair) and Harry Vince smashed another penno home. Fantastic.
Only negative was a needless red card from Harry Vince with a 2nd yellow for time wasting.
Oh, and Leek won again... What a team though this is. Superb.

The boys march on .That is a great result .The pressure builds each week but we are certainly up for it.leek unfortunately carry on there great form but our boys will not give up . The skill and togetherness is certainly there and adding Graham's passion the boys will be up for everything. Agree with Dean shame about Vince sending off.How many games does he miss anyone??(as 2yellows not straight red? We will miss him as he does play his role in the team very well. 2 winnable home games next week for us and Leek.but nothing is given in football. The terrace is our secret weapon so come on everyone keep spreading the word how well were playing and get as many as possible behind the boys. Up the dannies

One of the best performances of the season away from home so far, if we had scored 8 today I don’t think anyone from Ilkeston would have complained, it was men against boys today, a very poor ref though giving some bazaar decisions. Again going a goal down you just know we have enough to turn any game around, these players work so hard for each other, special praise for Hicks, although he’s not scored as many as Sids, his work rate is phenomenal and must have created so many of our goals this season. A great away day at a nice ground with good stands behind the goals that create some excellent acoustics for us vocal fans that didn’t stop singing all game, I’m sure the players appreciate it and what an atmosphere it makes. In any other season we would be well clear at the top, but Leek keep matching us every week, just think if it comes down to the final game against them, there would be 1500+ at the zeeko

Dean it was Tendai that set the goal going for the own goal and was felled for the penalty as well and if you check out the non league paper great picture of Morgs clearly being played onside by the defender on the post you need to go to spec savers lol or drink less beer. Great game and performance from the lads not sure on their penalty was too far away to see if it was a handball or not the only thing I thought was that Vince may have been fouled before hand and didn’t think ours was a pen but you take it. Ridiculous sending off not sure what they were doing why didnt chally take the throw in the first place instead of swapping with Vince stupid stupid stupid not sure what he will get regards a ban as thats his second red of the season I’m sure mr B will confirm that tho.

Great result and despite being quite nervous before the game and especially after going 1-0 down this team continues to prove us wrong and keep grinding out results; something key for a title winning side. Went 1-0 down to what looked like a very scrappy goal after Danny had made a brilliant save. We did what we’ve done every time we’ve gone behind this season and continued to press high and attack, driving down the wings, how strong we are down the left as well with OBH linking up with Tendai. We got an equaliser a short time later when Siddons met a corner at the back post before rob morgan headed home being played inside by an Ilkeston player on the post. Minutes later the ever present Tendai cut inside from the right and had his shot turned in by an Ilkeston defender. They got what looked like a very soft penalty at the end of the second half, where the referee got that injury time from I don’t know, but we went into half time level 2-2. Second half and there was only one team in it, we dominated and could’ve easily had more, a Hicks shot again turned in by the same Ilkeston player before Vince dispatched a penalty late on. Vince incredibly unlucky to be sent off rounding off a very poor refereeing display. I thought it was a 1 game ban for 2 yellows but assume that’s still to be confirmed?. Leek still matching everything we do and I don’t even want to think about the possibility of a final day winner takes all game, would much rather have it wrapped up by then. Just hoping they soon begin to drop a few points but the pressure is definitely on them rather than us with their game in hand. Morgan or Tendai man of the match for me. Also a mention for the travelling fans who were class again, travelled in numbers, made some noise and got behind the team as per. Crossy starting chants with us at the end and Drury with his trademark knee slide capped off a brilliant performance, on a 15 game unbeaten run, unbeaten away, division top scorers. Brilliant. COYR

I said it was Tendai for the opening goal! Ok I got the Rob Morgan offside bit wrong, but to be fair I did post an hour after the game, and not with the hindsight of a newspaper photo and match report!

Last season we also won 13 games, this season already on 14. We’re also 4 points away from last seasons total return. We only won 19 games in the season we got to the playoff final, a lot of draws that season got us to where we finished.

I read that post on their forum as well, £5500 a week ( possibly a month), they’re just plucking figures out of the air, I doubt AFC Fylde or Salford’s was that big when they walked the prem when we were in it. I would be more inclined to think our budget would be one of the lowest in the league.

No way we're paying £5500 a week! I'd have thought not even half that.

Also Gary, i've just seen the NLP photo now. /photo/4 You're right that there's a defender on the post, but the keeper isn't anywhere to be seen. So could still be offside?
