Don't mind giving you that on both counts. I would say professional win with more to come but still good win. The boys work so hard for each other. Leek won 4-0 .... looking like us two but still long way to go... Could it really come down to our last game home to LEEK .

A very good performance again. This team really is the real deal. I don’t think Haystead had a single thing to do in goal. To be honest, it was complete men and boys, especially in the 2nd half. How Wisbech beat Spaulding on Boxing Day, I’ll never know. They were atrocious. We made them look poor too to be fair, with OBH and Cosmos ripping them apart at will. As was mentioned above, it’s just a shame that Leek keep winning. It does look at the moment like it’s a 2 horse race, but Belper can win their games in hand and get back up with us, and Frickley’s form is exceptional too. It’s going to be a nail biting few months. Let’s hope it comes down to that final game of the season.

Another very professional job done yesterday as we keep up the pace with Leek Town. Once again it could have been more goals as we dominated from start to finish and we could not remember Danny even having to come out to collect a dangerous cross. At the moment opposition teams are struggling to cope with our energy all over the pitch, every single player is working so hard and even harder for each other, a real team effort. Such is the level of performance from each and every player, that it is a real struggle to pick the Man of the Match. When Chally came on second half, we thought it was to just stiffen up in midfield, in fact he could have had 3 goals with a bit more luck! We now go to tricky Ilkeston on Saturday where you never know at the moment how they are going perform - if the good team turn up, we could have another very hard game like Loughborough. Carlton, Cleethorpes and Belper stumbled yesterday which meant our win was even more important as things are going to get tougher by the week from now on. But this group of players are well jelled together as you could see in the clubhouse after the game yesterday as they enjoyed the evening together at the Christmas Draw Night. A really good atmosphere in the ground again yesterday as we easily broke that 300 target attendance figure - surely anyone coming for the first time this season will want to come again and watch that high standard of football and commitment from our boys. They really deserve to get decent crowds and don't they just love the support they get from the noisy Terrace. Not sure how many of you noticed the Wisbech centre half leave the field before the second half kick-off. He collapsed on the pitch and looked in real difficulty as he was eventually helped back to the dressing rooms. He was apparently passing and coughing up blood and was immediately taken to hospital with what looked like an abdominal problem. By all accounts we couldn't get an ambulance for at least 2 hours!! Perhaps Phil can get some news on the lad from his opposite at Wisbech for us. So we plough on, and once again I appeal to you all to turn up in numbers home and away, make some noise and drive the boys on to that top 5 finish - if not better. Up the Dannies
