A welcome 3 points in a game ruined by the worst refereeing performance I have witnessed in 38 years of attending football matches. Gregg Smith’s sending off was a coming together of 2 players in a 50/50 challenge, their player conned the ref by going down as if he’d been shot by a sniper. As for Brown-Hill’s 2 yellows, the first after dribbling around 3 players then had his ankles clipped, the second was a stone wall penalty all day long, he’d taken it past the keeper only the keeper to bring him down, absolute joke, let’s hope Mark Jordan’s camera picked that up and we can put in some kind of appeal.

Can't believe Ollie bh got sent off I think everyone heard apart from the idiot wearing black the contact their keeper made on him .Why are the powers that be sending a ref from the same place as 1 off our play off rivals he was clearly biased against us absolute joke

Missed the game due to other commitments, and they will cause me to miss probably all games until late April. But refreshing to see that we managed to get 3 points despite finishing with 9 men. I thought this was pretty standard until I saw the reaction on twitter from both stamford fans who were there and the Gresley Supporters Club page who had a big dig at Graham for supposedly spending half time in the refs office making his opinions known (graham denied this) and also calling us a "vile club" and football is no longer what it was because some players now have "man buns." Was pretty embarrassing on their part.
2 well taken goals thanks to the ever professional Stamford Goals who still give me that little football fix when I can't make games. The OBH incident looks clearly like he's been clipped and the keepers reaction to it shows that even he thought it was a penalty. We now lose OBH for 1 game and what's even worse, we lose Gregg Smith for 3 games unless some sort of appeal goes in? This therefore means he misses Spalding (a), Osset (h) and Tadcaster (h). Thats extremely worrying. In my opinion in order to have any hope of getting the play offs Osset and Tadcaster are must wins. Draws would probably be okay but it makes our job so much harder. Our run in must surely be the hardest of any other club (we play 8 of the top 10 in our final games) but they are the games you have to win if you deserve to go up. Gregg will be a huge loss for those games but here's hoping the lads push on and try and achieve what's increasingly looking like a very difficult task.
We currently sit on 9 losses, we lost 9 times all of last season. We also have 39 points from 26 played (we had 41 from the same no of games last season), maximum points we can get is 75 (we reached the playoffs 2 points clear with 71 points last season). I reckon play offs are still on the cards but the difficult run of fixtures doesn't help but with more crowds like the 349 that was reached yesterday (highest league crowd this season) it won't be too hard to get more people behind the lads on the promotion push. As the weeks go on I feel like I'm being more and more optimistic but this league often proves you very very wrong.

The guy responsible for those tweets is a guy called Ian Lummis, he’s forever having a dig at us on the NPL Facebook page, he’s still upset that Courtney Meade ( the worlds laziest player) came to us for an extra £20 a week. His latest dig was this week was over Gregg Smith coming back to us and how hard done by Gresley are all the time.

Probably the worst refereeing display I've seen ANYWHERE , in 30 years of football
that ranges from international games, top flight, all way down to step 6.
I missed Greg's red as looking away, but the 2 diving yellows were disgusting decisions
Gresley should have been down to 10 after Greg's red, but ref didn't even give a free kick.
A comfortable 4 or 5 goal win was on the cards at 2-0, but that was turned into hanging on with 9 men, thanks to the MIB
Stamford were still the better team for most of the 2nd half with 10, until they got one back.
Even then, it took the 2nd red card for Gresley to look dangerous enough to get me worried
To be fair though, we missed a few sitters in 2nd half to make it 3-0, which would have made game safe.

Good to get the 3 points, in spite of finishing with 9 men. I thought we played pretty well throughout the game, and the sendings off marred what was a good performance. I’m not sure about Gregg’s sending off. It looked like a yellow to me, but I don’t think a red was too off the mark. The Ollie BrownHill sending off wasn’t justified at all. I don’t think the first booking was a penalty, but it wasn’t a dive either. The second booking was definitely not a dive. He got clipped by the keeper. However, I can’t understand why he didn’t just shoot, rather than try and round the keeper in the first place. Anyway, we held on for 3 points. Issue now will be the suspension of Gregg for 3 games. Frustrating. Just when we need a run of wins.
