Just what we needed, 4-0 away win, Morgan x2, Seal and Brown-Hill with the goals, plus a Danny Haystead penalty save. Since we last played Carlton we have lost just twice and are the second most in form side in the division beaten only by Brighouse who we face in 3 weeks. Hopefully someone who was at the match can provide a bit more detail but a great start to 4 tricky away games. Currently sit 7th, 2 points on the play offs with games in hand on most teams around us. Sheffield next week looking a bit like a play off proverbial six pointer, but a class win today puts us in a good position for next week nonetheless. COYR

As Justin says we were the only team in it other than first 10 minutes of second half where we bombarded with long throws all easily delt with, good penalty save from Haystead, although you kind of expect him to save them.
First half Brown-Hill and Sands look really good as a front 2, like I’ve said before Sands really is a quality player and even though unfit is a massive asset to us, could have scored today, but shot came back off post and was put in on the second attempt.
Carlton really were poor though or maybe we made them look poor, but had Sands and Brown-Hill been playing in the corresponding home fixture then we would have won comfortably and be sitting 3rd in the league tonight.
Just to add, possibly one of the worst pitches I’ve seen a competitive match on, at one point I thought their keeper was kneeling down, turns out he had fallen down massive hole in the 6 yard box.
A good return from the next 3 away, then it 5 home games from the next 6, with just Spalding away, things are looking good.

Cracking result. Drury knows how to get a team purring from mid December onwards. Looking forward to a tilt at the play offs again. COYR.
