Hi All.
I wanted to firstly say thankyou for all your support over the last 2.5 years we've had a really good FA Cup run and a play off final miss that I can be proud of. As fans you have been amazing and I thought I needed to explain my decision to take the Holbeach Utd job.
My decision to leave was regarding not being able to commit to training twice a week with the lads and I wasnt being fair to Graham nor the lads. Graham worked really hard for 5 weeks covering me, for a session her and there and we decided that we needed to bring in a coach who could commit to midweek x 2.
As you. Know Alex has come in and he's been superb and settled in great at the club. New year's day was our agreed departure date from my role,on new year's eve I was sitting in Ask Stamford with my beautiful family and I had a call come through from Holbeach asking Me to consider applying for the 1st team job there. At that point I had no intention to consider football, however with further calls made I realised the session at Holbeach was once a week which could be flexible on what evenings. Having a team under me also supported that flexibility which meant I could manage my work better.
I didn't make the decision likely, I'm a home grown Holbeach boy but a Stamford family man now so both clubs mean alot to me. To have the chance to take my 1st role as a number 1, having learnt lots from Graham I thought it would be a great opportunity to manage the team i first started playing UCL for back when I was 16. I have kept Graham in the loop all the way through and he endorsed my decision which was great to hear.
I just thought I needed to clarify this with you all so you know who it came to fruition. As always I will an avid Stamford fan and I'd love you all to have a success this season.
Much love to you all and please say hello if you see me in town.
Huss x
