Results have undoubtedly been poor ever since we dropped from top of the league back in early September. However, I for one still believe that it is wholly possible the situation we are in at the moment can be resurrected and Graham isn't inexperienced enough to be able to do this. However we need to give it time. Bearing in mind, a new manager will bring in a whole new set of players, take time to implement tactics and begin to get results so a new manager in my opinion would almost certainly render this a promotionless season. While in the current situation it doesn't take a genius to work out we are not even close to achieving our target of the play offs I dont think the calls for Drury Out should begin just yet. I will be Drury in until the end of January at the earliest

Anon, you say a new man would bring in a load of new players, isn't that what is happening already and it's December now. June to December and we are still looking for continuity.

Unity is what is needed from players staff and fans alike get behind what we know can be a good team and support them We are were under strength Saturday no Duffy and no Burgess in midfield makes a huge difference and new players coming in will always make things difficult Onwards and upwards for Saturday keep the faith

The revolving door of players isn't helping matters, but i'm not sure this is GD's fault. Obviously quite a few players have left for higher level football (and money probably), and what can GD do about that? Obviously things aren't good enough currently, but there's no point bringing someone else in now. GD has experience of getting out of this level, and i'm behind him. For now.

And those wanting Drury out, think the question is, who would be coming in?

We will certainly have a better chance of getting to the playoff's with GD than with anyone new, but its still a big ask!
GD has obviously got contacts to continue to bring players in that go on to a higher level, but the board need to help him to keep the players. The second half of last season we had a settled team and results improved massively.

It’s frustrating that we’ve lost arguably our best 3 players last season to a tin pot village team, why people want to chuck money at a team like that is beyond me.

You are all talking as if we have no decent players left we have a good bunch of players give them and GD some credit less negativiy more positive thoughts long way to go yet

Will we ever see the skills of John Sands up front poking them in for fun? I somehow doubt it.

Its got nothing to do with the money to go to a team like Barwell - its the chance of playing at a higher level with the reduced travelling time/coach to the away games for them
I am sure them lads are not on the same amount of what Stamford were paying

Weareleeds, we do still support the team, why do we all keep turning up every week?? We pay our money and that therefore entitles us to an opinion. Just because you might not agree with it doesn't mean it's wrong.

Never said I didn't agree or disagree for me it's about whoever puts the shirt on and whoever is shouting from the dugout

Problem is in non league if you want to try and prevent players from leaving all the time you have to put them on contract which obviously has its own financial risks, Take sands for instance good job he’s not on contract!!!! He’s not is he!?
It does however help with stability and allow a club to build a team to get promoted over a season or two. I believe Lincoln Utd have handed out 2 year contracts.
If we are serious about getting out of this league we need to prevent the revolving door and higher teams poaching our players. Either pay higher wages or have players on contract. Sad reflection of non league I’m afraid. Money talks.
Although playing at a higher level is a noble reason for any player for move on, I can also appreciate travel and work commitments for the part time footballer, but I would imagine financial reasons were a big factor in the players leaving. I mean the travel in the league above is more (bar Morpeth and Marske haha). I could be wrong but by the sounds of it the players that have left have just been offered better deals.

If we went up we would have been in the southern central which would have been less travelling, hindsight is a wonderful thing. We are where we and we have to keep trying to get out this league. Responsibility lies equally with board, management and players in doing so. Out of those 3, one group lost my backing a while back, one group just about has my backing and the other will always have my backing. Probably not too hard to guess which ones fit.

Just to back up my claim of Barwell being a tinpot club, tonight’s attendance for a league game is 63 (20 of those from st Neots), not enough gate receipts to pay Henry his wage. They are 6-1 up though.

If it was all about attendances then we should be paying some of the highest wages in the league, with what I know from players that is far from it
Tinpot but higher division

Yes was disrespectful and I really don’t want to sound like an arrogant Man Utd fan, but we are too big for this level.
It’s just so frustrating that a small club with a chairman with deep pockets can just pick off our best players.

I don't think our budget is as low as we think. But yes, it is frustrating that a club like Barwell is deemed a more attractive move. 63 fans!? With 20 away fans. Embarrassing.

They had a similar amount of fans at the trophy replay, we made up over half the crowd, Shame we haven’t got a chairman that would put £3/4000 into the budget each week like Barwell.
