Second penalty shootout loss this month, Chris salts new club, Barwell quickly rising closer to the top of the rivals list. Very unlucky for burgess who missed the pen after getting us twice back into the game but thats football. Saves us a trip to spennymoor though I suppose...
Such a cliche but can now fully focus on the league, have got some games in hand now, real push needed before xmas. aim should be to be in or a few points off the play offs come 2019. We're all still right behind the lads, COYR

Gutted for Burgess after keeping us in it twice thsts 6 for him this season he must be our top scorer π€ but that's the lottery of a penalty shoot out but the lads did them selves proud onwards and upwards

Absolutely agree dwatch. Alan Swann is usually very good but not with that. From what I saw last season was not impressed with Burgess too much but how has he proved me wrong. Don't think I could've been more naive if id tried. Consistently performs in the games I've seen this season and does anyone really care about one miss in the lottery of a penalty shootout. Didn't think so, I certainly don't and he certainly doesn't need bad journalism trying to tarnish his reputation

Thanks Anon I agree the headline could have been kinder I would imagine he feels pretty bad anyway I think last season he was out for most due to injury but he's showing his pedigree this season and knows where the goal is just hope we can hold on to him unlike some of the others π

I personally think Burgess has been the most improved player from last season we should all get behind him on Saturday and the team lets get singing

Alan Swan at the ET what a bell end headline Hero to Villain how to build a lads confidence not focus on how well he played and scored two goals π Villain- ' a bad or evil person who seeks to harm others. Go back to school Mr Swann this is football not WW2. Clearly a roller coaster of a game. Tough result
