The reason we accepted the Ref's decisions was that he only got 'volunteered' on the morning of the game, and was doing us a favour.. Referees whom get paid and are 'professional' of sorts should do better, and are slightly more 'fair game'
That said, I don't necessarily agree with some of the abuse that the Refs get from the sidelines (not that i'm moaning - People can do what the want). Without them, our game would die. There's no way i'd continue if I got some of the pelters that they're normally subjected to!

Was only joking about the ref, Dean. In my younger days I too have been a stand-in. I have had to stand in dog sh*t, cow sh*t and lots of bullsh*t, especially from players. Your man did well considering the amount of raw talent on view. Some was so raw it was positively bloody (as in bloody awful). Well done, lads, it was an experience!
