Watching MOTD last night and seeing Tim Howard's goal for Everton had me thinking about scoring keepers. I have seen two score for Stamford, both in derby matches - Dick Bonney at Bourne in 1974 in what I think was my first away match, and Pledge in a very memorable Boxing Day win over Wisbech in our first season in the Southern League. I think Martin Bonner also scored in an Evans Halshaw match against Spalding in the early 90s although I wasn't at that game.
Can anybody come up with any more - SFOG can you remember any keepers scoring in your time watching or was it pretty much impossible with the old leather balls? What about any keepers scoring against the Daniels, can't say I can remember any!

I remember the Pledge goal well. It was a real swirling wind that day, until he scored we looked out of it if my memory serves me right. I seem to remember a player called Chris Thompson getting some awful racist abuse in the return fixture and promptly scoring the winner. Back in them days Wisbech were a big side in NL football, often making the first round proper in the FA cup.

Launched the ball forward from my hands and it must have hit the only bit of grass down the centre of the pitch. Skidded up and over the poor Spalding keeper!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
