Daley Thompson registration form for Stamford AFC might be worth a bit too!!

............and then true heros to a passionate 10 year old Mr Rigby, Mr Hird, Eddie Broadhurst, Dick Walpole, Dick Smith and to please Clipper, Goal machine Crawford!! I've got both the 76 and 80 Vase Final programmes fully autographed somewhere in my archives. However, my favourite as well as saddest pieces of memoribilia is a memory - as the team came round the fence around the Wembley pitch to greet the supporters after the 76 Vase final Dick Walpole, who was my favourite player as an 11/12 year old and who I chatted to regularly before and after games, came over to console me and showed me his medal. Considering that he had "scored" what should have been the winner but for a dodgy linesman and knowing now how devestated he would have been it was the act of a true gent and sportsman. He was a truly lovely person and was tragically taken from us far too early. The only comforting thing is knowing that he lived to see us win in 1980 and that his appearance in the dressing room before the game was such an inspiration to the team that day.

Hi All From the sunny South of France, it's been interesting reading the forum for the past two weeks. As you all know, i am only a baby Daniels supporter, but a long time football historian and in my loft should be (not been up there for a long time), the first ever Stamford framed team photo, 1896 I THINK, given to me by a supporter, before i became involved with the club. AND, the only existing video of Stamford v Man U. when Mark Hughs played, forgive me for my lack of year knowledge. IT'S PROBABLY WORTH MORE THAN THE CURRENT VALUE OF THE STAMFORD TEAM LOL LOL.

If Dave would allow is there a way of transferring the video tape onto the website as a feature.
Happy Footie memories
