Looks like the locals are getting really restless with Hignett; possible similarities to the undercurrents that were present at Wrexham with Mills until he got the 'order of the boot'? Wait till they see 'our' GD...yes he may be animated and yes he may be demented but what he is is sheer class! ...and destined to go a long way too!

We are restless , but only cos he wont play 2 upfront at home.... He will play 2 against you lot , but win lose or draw will go back to 1 up front again after .... TBH , the cup has done us no favours over the years , personally , I hope you all come and have a great day out , see the town for what it is and not the stereotype you read about in the papers...get here early and have a drink

We will have a great day out that's for sure and yea, no doubt we will be making use of your bar. I hate the shit but hope they have some real ale in?
Be interesting to see how many tickets we have actually sold thus far, given the ideal day it would see us drawing and getting you guys down for a replay that would surely be televised and it would be so cool to see a maximum crowd in our little ground.
Don't suppose there is any chance of you guys doing what the Eastleigh chairman did a d giving us all the entry and prize money regardless of the score is there?

I heard we'd sold 200 tickets already H. That's just from the other night's sales. It would be great if we took 4/500 up there.

Dean it wouldn't be great... it would be a miracle. Settle for 500 day trippers and many of those may never to be seen at the Yellow Grass Arena.

Please do not judge people who turn up at Hartlepool and do not attend home matches more the better STAMFORD TOWN AND POSH FLAG

I agree with Gary. The more the better. If you've been to even 1-2 Stamford games, and you're from the town then you're a Stamford fan. In fact, even if it's someone's first game, who cares. The more the merrier.
You say it would be a miracle to get 500 away fans. I agree it's unlikely. However, if you consider there were at least 900 home fans at the home game v Wrexham. And probably 800 at the home game v Salford, then you see that there are a lot of 'casual' fans who can turn out for big games.
Of those, potentially 70-80% of casual fans will want to watch us in the Cup 1st round i reckon. Therefore, 500 is possible. Unlikely, but possible.

And how many turned up for your cup match with Leyton Orient, and how many are to be found at The Meres these days? Of course some glory fans surface for these kind of matches. Stop being so bloody sour.

We've been called Hartlepools United , Hartlepool and Hartlepool United , and despite playing in the same spot for 100 years , we've actually played in 2 towns ...West Hartlepool and Hartlepool ...so we won't be too picky if some of your flags are slightly different

We are certainly looking forward to the trip to Hartlepool, it will be a day to be enjoyed by the squad, management team and the supporters whatever the result. I think there will be plenty of red in the stadium on the day and may the best team win. Up The Daniels.

Well we snatched defeat from the jaws of victory against Barnet , cuicially though , losing arguably our best 2 players through injury and suspension ....sometimes though , that forces a change of mind set , which can help ....

Losing to Barnet is not good, but don't start plotting excuses already! lol
We are coming expecting to lose, but if we dont concede early and we can turn it into a battle, into a fight for every ball kind of encounter then who knows, anything can happen.
It's not going to be pretty as Arsenal we ain't, but if our manager can inspire them and ensure they aren't nervous, and there really is no need to be, who's to say you wont be heading south to see us all again next Tuesday?
