I can make this now.. I'll just leave Wales at 7am. Kick off is definitely 11.30am.
Looks like we already have 14 players above? I thought we were short? 14 is the very maximum we should have in my opinion.

Suits me.. 11am meet at the latest. If anyone doesn't know where it is, then you can jump in with me if you want. I'm not sure I remember exactly where it is, but I can't imagine it's hard to find.

According to their site, it's off Parkfield Road. It's at the top right of THIS MAP as far as I can make out.....

Easy to find, take the A6121 towards Bourne, turning right at the 3rd mini roundabout (first one signposted for Ryhall). Follow that road round and take the 3rd right, entrance to ground will be on left at bottom of hill.
10.45 meet sounds good to me.

What was the score please?

Post by Marc on Feb 2, 2010 16:18:12 GMT
I think you can judge that by the silence Paul!
We lost 8-3 in a scoreline that doesnt really reflect how well a bunch of old men, unfit men and last minute replacement men did. 3-0 down before we had seemingly got out of the changing rooms we rallied it back to 4-3 before a contentious decision saw them score the 5th and our heads dropped. Theres no shame in losing to a team that trains twice a week though and we had them seriously rattled for about 15 minutes either side of half time.

Hmmm I would say you had us rattled for the first 15 mins of second half but the first half was all one way. You boys did well all said and done........for the record we only train once a week. Heard someone else saying we trained twice a week so not sure where that came from?
Well done and we'll see you end of feb/beginning of march.
Also, not being funny lads.........we went through the trouble to lay on food for you all after the game at the Green Dragon and only 4 of you turned up!!! The landlord made the effort to accommodate us all with the grub and was probably a little disappointed? A little embarrassing for RUFC! If we'd known 4 of you were coming back we wouldn't have had the food laid on.
Anyway..........A lesson learnt.

Fair point about the food mate. Most did say they were coming when we were in the Changing Room, but then many didn't.
I don't think everyone paid their £3 either! (certainly many didn't at Emp Rd either!!)

I was off to watch/coach the U13's in the afternoon, plus get some sleep for my shift at work.

Fair Point Leigh but then again as there was no shower facilitys and some players were coated in mud, you can see why some myself included wanted to go home and get cleaned up cheers
