It was great to see Ricky Miller starting for the Posh on Tuesday night. He lasted 80 minutes or so before being substituted. He certainly contributed to the 2-0 win over MK Dons. His speciality is working his way into the penalty area or getting free kicks on the edge of it. A couple of fans behind me were talking about him constantly throughout the game. The fans at the London Road end showed that they have definitely taken to him and what he can do for the team. They have even adapted one of the old favourite choruses heard at football grounds these days and sang it quite a few times throughout the game. The rest of the ground joined in too.
It goes: - "Ricky Miller is a blue, is a blue, is a blue. Ricky Miller is a blue. He hates Cobblers."
Not sure of the connection with Northampton but perhaps someone can enlighten me.
All he needs now is to score his first league goal to get him really fired up. He did put the ball in the net at one point but sadly it was offside.

Spider. Northampton Town are traditionally the most despised of Posh's local rivals, going back many generations, long before Cambridge Utd and the Milton Keynes Imposters came on the scene. Scorers against the Cobblers tend to become folk heroes. Sorry, Stampy, if you still read this forum.

Worth noting as well that the reason Posh fans have adapted that song is a) he's seen as a Peterboro boy and b) he was in the away end (when suspended) at Northampton and apparently got involved in some light banter with the home fans

Cheers SFOG and Dean. I am all clued up now.
I must say I prefer our chant when he was here last: "Oooh Aaah Miller, say Oooh Aaah Miller" which I believe may have been started by you Dean.

Greg Smith has left Boston Utd yet again - this time for Southern League Tamworth. I wonder how many moves he has made in his career...or even this season?

Bumped into former Daniel Paul Bryant the other day and had a good chat with him he told me that ex Daniel legend Mick Bennet had passed away sad news if he has but I haven’t been able to find anything out to confirm it long shot but does anyone have any ideas at all Paul said he last heard he was back in Liverpool.

Very sad news if true.
He was a nightmare for defenders on the pitch but by all accounts a gentleman off it.
Will always remember that thumping, sliding volley in the FA Vase against Thackley.
